With six races for all ages and abilities the Amba Hotels City of London Mile is a truly inclusive and exciting race for all to enjoy.
The City Of London Mile
For runners aged 16 and over.
Whether you’re running for fun, for charity, a personal challenge, with friends or against the clock this is the race for you. You’ll be taking part alongside runners of a similar ability to you as your wave will be grouped according to your predicted finish time.
You can choose to support one of our charity partners or fund raise for a cause close to your heart.
If you want to run with your siblings, parents, grandparents or children (or all of them) the Family Mile is perfect for you. One adult can enter with another four family members of any age.
After the event, stay and watch the final races and enjoy the race day atmosphere before taking in the sights that the capital has to offer.
Research by Sport England shed light on how few women feel confident enough to take part in sporting activities. The aim of putting on a ladies-only event at the Mile is to encourage women to stand united on the start line and provide an inclusive and encouraging environment. Previous editions of the Women’s Mile have been a huge success and we hope even more entrants will join us this year to celebrate women in sport.
A race for the next generation of athletes, the Youth Mile is open to runners who will be aged 11 to 16 on 31 August 2017. There will be three age group categories, each with special prizes on offer.
We believe that everyone should experience the positive mental benefits of being involved in sporting activities. Whether you’re an experienced wheelchair racer or this is your first time taking part in a sporting event, we welcome wheelchair athletes of any age to take part in this race.
Watch some of the world’s best athletes go head to head in the Annual International Mile Race. British and international athletes, including Olympians, will take to the start line in what will be a truly thrilling event.
